Lego Kidsfest

This weekend we went to the Lego Kidsfest in Pittsburgh and had SO MUCH FUN!  If you have a Lego lover at home then this is the place for you - it was wall to wall displays and creator tables and life-size figures.  I took about 100 pictures and these are just the highlights...

Birthday Girl

 We celebrated Sydney's 8th birthday last weekend and I thought I'd share a little collection of Sydney pics through the years...

Sydney Claire was born November 4, 2004 at 2:30am.

Look at those Hubbard ears!  Luckily she grew into them.

Our little bubble gnome.

How about this getup at 2?  Look closely and take it all in, from the bandaid on the forehead to the tutu AND butterfly wings.  And of course we have the trusty elephant who she STILL sleeps with to this day.

Autumnal activities

 

We went to the Renaissance Festival and loved all the great shops and food.  

Oh and there might have been a few people dressed in period clothing or something.

 

We had an interesting Halloween this year since Hurricane Sandy cancelled trick-or-treat for us.  

Luckily we had done the trunk-or-treat at the church, though it was still in the gym - I have yet to attend one that is actually held outside with decorated trunks.

And Charlotte won first prize in the costume contest at the local fire hall with her light-up robot.  

Yay for homemade costumes!

Life lately

 Just a few things that we've been up to lately...

Charlotte and Sydney started 4th and 2nd grade at their new school.

Shelby hosted a tea party. 

Charlotte went rock star.

Nim had an exciting adventure one night after she escaped her cage.  We found her the next morning curled up in a corner, sleeping, but who knows what shenanigans she got into during the night.

We had a very cool full rainbow one evening after a storm.

If you look very closely to the right of and above the rainbow, you can see that it was actually a double rainbow.  Double cool.

Charlotte made a really great project for school, it's an "all about me" poster that will hang in the hall at school for Open House.  These are a few of her favorite things.

Yes, we jumped ship.  We traded our black and purple for black and gold.
