Culture Shock

So, with our move from Maryland to Pennsylvania, the girls  have had a bit of culture shock as we adjust to the Pittsburghese spoken around these parts.  Just a few examples we've encountered...

Yins - similar in meaning but even more annoying than Y'all
Pop - soda to the rest of the world
Crick - creek or stream
Warsh - wash
Chipped Ham - I don't have an explanation, but it's good

Some of our favorite things about living here

being in the country,
swimming in the pond,
no leash laws (Shelby's favorite),
spring water (like from the actual spring, not a bottle),
smaller schools,
the people are nicer (what's that about anyway?),
and #1 on the list: lots of family.

Love the socks.
